1. How many students attend your school?
Current enrolment stands at 130 students, from JK to grade 8.
2. How many teachers do you have?
We have twelve teachers, 5 of whom are part time, and 3 of which are specialists: French, Resource, and Music.
3. What are your class sizes like?
Our classes from JK to grade 4 vary from 9 to 16 students; our grade 5/6 class is combined for half the day for subjects such as phys. ed, and for core subjects they
are separated into two classes with 13 students each. Grades 7/8 are currently combined with 25 students.
4. What subjects do you teach?
We teach all regular subjects, as well as Bible. We begin Monday mornings with chapel for all staff and students and for parents who wish to attend.
5. To what organizations do you belong?
We are a member of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce, the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools (OACS), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and the Christian Athletic Association of Southern Ontario (CAASO).
6. How is your school run?
Burlington Christian Academy is a privately funded, parent supported private Christian school. The principal oversees the school’s day-to-day educational interests with the support of parents and board members. The Board of Directors is responsible for managing the business aspects of the school.
7. How can parents be involved?
Parents are the backbone of Burlington Christian Academy. Parents can provide their support through the Community Council, Advancement and Recruitment Committee,
School Development Committee, and Facilities Committee. Parents are needed to provide assistance in the areas of fundraising, classroom support, and field trips.
We also rely on parents to support the school financially, spiritually, and in many other unique ways.
