Curriculum
The progressive curriculum at Burlington Christian Academy adheres to the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
While the curriculum is comprehensive, the children are taught the Ontario Curriculum from a biblical perspective. Providing a comprehensive curriculum infused
with God’s Word allows the best foundation for academic excellence and success. Students acquire the appropriate academic training,
moral values and life skills along their educational path, which helps them to develop into mature disciples of Christ.
From grades JK-8, classes include Bible, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health, Language, Reading, History, Geography, Physical Education, Music and French.
The curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills, problem solving, spiritual and moral development, student-centred opportunities, self-discipline,
commitment, citizenship, and community responsibility.
Our computer lab, sports program (both, inter-school and intramural), drama, student council, and numerous other clubs, allow the student to participate in
a wide range of extra curricular activities. Each child is encouraged to develop to their own potential through educational opportunities in a
supportive, nurturing environment.

Academic Success
We are proud of our successes. We maintain contact with our graduates, their parents, and the principals and guidance counsellors of their high schools, to track the
performance of our students after they graduate from BCA.
Burlington Christian Academy uses the uses the CTBS (Canadian Test of Basic Skills), which is administered yearly. This test allows for a comparison between educational
performances of private schools and the Canadian Public system. It also allows our Academy to evaluate our educational standards on an ongoing basis as well
as the opportunity to enhance our academic standards.
Burlington Christian Academy consistently scores in the top 10% of all participating schools (Private, Christian and Public) across Canada in the Canadian Test
of Basic Skills. BCA’s consistently high scores allows parents to have confidence that their child is receiving a complete, comprehensive education
at Burlington Christian Academy.
